Nikhita and Erik: An Atlanta Wedding

This spring, I had the immense privilege of photographing one of the most beautiful weddings I’ve ever attended. Hosted at the stunning Callanwolde Fine Arts Center in Atlanta, this wedding was not only a feast for the eyes but also a heartwarming celebration of love, family, and culture. As a wedding photographer, I’ve documented countless ceremonies, but this one was truly something special.

From the moment I stepped onto the grounds, I knew this wedding would stand out. Callanwolde, with its historic architecture and lush gardens, provided the perfect backdrop for a day filled with joy and color. It was as if spring itself had shown up to join the festivities, with vibrant blossoms framing every shot I took.

The couple had planned an Indian wedding that was both a nod to tradition and a celebration of their unique love story. Every detail was a reflection of their personalities and the incredible blending of their families and cultures. From the gorgeous ceremony space to the intricate henna designs on the bride’s hands, each moment was steeped in meaning and beauty.

And let’s talk about the colors! This wedding was an explosion of color, with rich reds, golds, and pinks weaving through every aspect of the day, creating a kaleidoscope of hues that lit up every corner of the venue.

Of course, a celebration this grand wouldn’t be complete without incredible food. The catering was nothing short of divine, with an array of dishes that had everyone going back for seconds (and thirds!).

And togetherness was the theme of the day. It was clear that everyone—from the bride and groom to their extended families and friends—was having the time of their lives. The dance floor was packed all night, and I found myself grinning behind the lens as I captured the pure, unfiltered joy radiating from every single person.

Congratulations to the happy couple on a truly unforgettable wedding at Callanwolde! May your life together be as vibrant and full of love as the day you said, “I do.”

Jaleesa and Miranda: An Atlanta Wedding

I’m catching up on some loooong overdue blogging this week, and I’m so excited to share Jaleesa and Miranda’s glamorous springtime wedding at one of my favorite Atlanta venues of all time.

They completely transformed the gorgeous 1920’s ballroom at the Wimbish House with Jim White’s stunning decor. When I tell you my jaw dropped when I saw the wisteria floral installation…

The evening was so full of joy and love, I spent the entire time grinning from ear to ear behind my camera. I especially loved the nods to their sweet husky Ghost in the form of a dog treat bar and the wee, cheeky figurine on the wedding cake.

Congrats again to you both!

Hunter and Kyle: An Atlanta Wedding

On October 22nd, 2022, Hunter and Kyle tied the knot at the beautiful Dunwoody Nature Center in Atlanta, Georgia. Surrounded by jewel-toned florals under a hexagonal gold arch, Hunter and Kyle exchanged vows in a romantic outdoor ceremony.

I think the bridesmaids' velvet gowns may be my favorite to date. The varied autumnal colors perfectly matched the fall theme, like the changing leaves in the trees.

Hunter and Kyle looked absolutely amazing, of course. Their love for each other was palpable, and it was an absolute joy to witness their union. The reception was filled with laughter and a surprise, choreographed performance, as friends and family celebrated the newlyweds.

Congratulations, Hunter and Kyle!

Fall Bridal Session

It may still be eighty degrees outside by noon, but we’re starting to get just the slightest hint of chill in the mornings here in Georgia. And honestly? That’s enough for me to consider it well and truly fall. Bring on the crunchy leaves and sweater weather. I will join my basic-bitches-in-arms and embrace chunky knits and flannel.

I draw the line at pumpkin spice, though. Apple > Pumpkin. Fight me.

But I digress. In celebration of all things autumn, I’d love to share this gorgeous bridal session from 2018 that I never got around to sharing! Better late than never?

Anyway, enjoy this deliciously boho Reclamation gown in scenic North Georgia and dream of cooler days to come.

Michael and Quinn: An Atlanta Wedding

Remember these two cuties from their engagement session last year?

Well, these two dapper grooms just exchanged vows and said “I do” at The Wimbish House in midtown Atlanta! This glamorous historic venue was decked out in burgundy and navy for the celebration, and DIY details throughout the house added a personal touch to the decor that really reflected Michael and Quinn’s personalities.

After a wholly unsuccessful trek to the Midtown letters (which I’d hyped up at their engagement session, unaware that they’d been removed), we ended up taking a few photos at Colony Square before deciding to return to the classic white sandstone beauty of the Wimbish House for more portraits.

As far as venues go, The Wimbish House is special. She has such a beautiful, quiet elegance amid the hustle and bustle of Atlanta. And she’s in fantastic shape for being 116!

In any case, her stately 1920s ballroom was the perfect place for Michael and Quinn to celebrate their union, and I’m thrilled I got to share in their big day! Congratulations again to you both!

Alesia and Josh: A Georgia Wedding

With vaccines rolling out pretty quickly, it seems wedding season is back in full swing!

Alesia and Josh tied the knot near Macon, Georgia last month, and I was honored to be part of their big day. Better yet, one of my college friends was maid of honor. We hadn’t seen each other in person since we were bridesmaids at another wedding in 2018, so it was especially nice to see her again!

After getting all dolled up, Alesia met Josh by the wisteria for the sweetest first look reveal; then it was off to a ceremony full of laughter, happy tears, and Star Trek references.

The evening was a delightful blur of tacos, cake, awesome friends, and even a tiny photographer in the making. In fact, it’s safe to say that he took my favorite shot of the evening (it’s the very last photo in this little sneak peek, if you’re wondering). Keep it up, little man!

Congratulations again, Alesia and Josh!

Kinzie + Cliff: Glamorous Georgia Wedding

I’m so excited to share a sneak peek from Kinzie and Cliff’s glamorous Tate House wedding in North Georgia! In spite of unrelenting rain, these two self-proclaimed geeks created a magical wedding day with touches of geekery including Harry Potter and Star Trek references and a good old fashioned Storm Trooper battle.

When they weren’t showing off their sweet moves on the dance floor, guests had no shortage of entertainment and enjoyed a s’mores station in addition to King of Pops and a psychic reading. I honestly couldn’t imagine a more fun group.

Congratulations again, you two! I’m honored to have been part of your wedding day.

Veronica and Joshua: A Seattle Wedding Sneak Peek

I love any excuse to go back to Seattle, even for just a few days, and I had the pleasure of returning just last week to photograph Joshua and Veronica’s wedding in Maple Valley.

Now before I dive right into the photos, I have to say that Joshua and Veronica are some of the coolest, funniest, sweetest people I’ve ever had the fortune of meeting. From the first time I photographed their lifestyle engagement session at their apartment, I could tell that this was going to be a wonderful wedding.

I was right. Wedding day was full of happy tears, the floofiest dress, heartfelt toasts, endless laughter, and (mostly-on-key) karaoke. By the end of the night, my cheeks hurt from smiling.

Congratulations, you two! I hope you enjoy this little sneak peek of your first look, and I can’t wait to deliver your full gallery.

Also, if anyone has ever waffled on the idea of a first look, here’s a photographic argument in its favor:
